Tin Ojeda’s Free Jazz Vein will be screening at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco on July 2, 2017. This is as noteworthy as the film itself – a refreshingly strange and twisted pattern of 16mm edits strung together in the vein of, well, free jazz. With throwback surf vibes as well as modern performance and crackled exposure – this one is as sure to please as it is to promulgate disruption of convention.
Some of the surfers featured in the film include Alex Gray, Ozzie Wright, Dave Rastovich, Alex Knost, Wade Goodall, Kassia Meador, Tyler Warren, and Jarad Mell.
Tin Ojeda is an Argentinian film maker residing in New York with a penchant for creating artsy 16mm surf films that feature some of surfing’s most cutting edge cult figures. His previous work includes Daughter, and Expencive Porno Movie.
