“Innocnts” Longboard Video Contest – Enter And Win!!!

Feel like winning $1000, and an invite to surf in a Vans Duct Tape Invitational logging event? If so, you’ll want to keep reading this to learn how to submit a video of you surfing a traditional log for consideration.

Innocnts and Weedmaps are presenting a free and progressive contest format that allows most humans to enter (multiple Vans Duct Tape alumni are barred). They’re looking for video footage of the best single full-length wave ridden on a traditional log (9 foot plus) “from take-off to kickout.” GoPro, drone, and iPhone footage will not be allowed. Instead, each surfer can submit up to five entries recorded via video camera. Videographers must have the surfer’s consent.

Judges include Dane Peterson, Ashley Loyd Thompson, Erin Ashley, Jen Smith, Matty Chojnacki, and Johnny Pitzer. They’ll be looking for length of ride, degree of difficulty, style, and “overall radness.”

To enter all you have to do is post an unedited video clip that does not contain watermarks on your Instagram, tag @innocnts, @wmsurfing, and #1wv1fn17 by October 31, 2017. The wave itself has to be ridden and recorded between July 31, and October 31, 2017.

According to their website Innocnts is, “a lifestyle-based project that manifests itself through various mediums including art, writing, video, music, clothing, photography, and curatorial efforts. Driven by emotive experiences and romantic conviction, Innocnts engages influence from fringe lifestyles, perceptions of artistic nostalgia, and the interstitial space where “high” and “low” culture meet.”

Weedmaps is “a community where medical marijuana patients find and connect with dispensaries.”
