Jordy Smith, Matt Wilkinson, Sebastian Zietz, and Conner Coffin recently took a break from standard shortboard thruster set-ups and hopped on retro twin fins for the Corona Highline Specialty Event. As part of the marquee 2017 WSL J-Bay contest, it was more sideshow entertainment than aggressive battle. The format aimed to engage viewers by allowing them to choose the winner. Based on popular opinion Jordy came out on top, making him two for two in South Africa after winning the 2017 Balito Pro. With the larger than life South African on a roll it just remains to be seen if he can also claim victory in the main event.
