Moore And Weston-Webb Give Back In Fiji

Throughout most of the Women’s Outerknown Fiji Pro the waves on tap were small and the competition was fierce. Tatiana Weston-Webb caused a few upsets as she sliced her way to a final staged in heavier conditions against Courtney Conlogue. Although she lost to Conlogue, Weston-Webb took out three-time world champ Carissa Moore and 2015 Fiji Pro winner Sally Fitzgibons en route to the finals berth. Weston-Webb’s impact on the island chain of Fiji, however, went beyond the score sheet.

During a lay-day she joined Carissa Moore and Waves 4 Water to reach out to the local community. The two athletes joined forces to teach students how to use water filters provided by Waves 4 Water. At a local school in Viti Levu they were greeted by smiling faces and gestures of appreciation as they demonstrated new ways to access clean water.
