Noteworthy Events – July, 2017

Saturday July 8th – Let Me Be It an art exhibit by Nathaniel Russell opens with a reception at Mollusk in San Francisco from 7-10PM. Click here for more on Russell and his work.

Sunday July 9th – Jack O’Neill paddle out memorial at Pleasure Point, starting at 11AM.

Bay Parade – Join San Francisco Bay Keeper in their effort to raise awareness and funds to clean up the San Francisco Bay. Swim, kayak, stand-up paddle, or sail from the Golden Gate Bridge to McCovey Cove on Sunday July 9th. Go to this site to learn more and register.

Independence Day Aftermath Beach Clean-ups – Pacifica Beach Coalition is running a series of beach clean-ups on July 8th, 9th, and 15th at various beaches just south of San Francisco. Surfrider Foundation San Francisco Chapter also regularly schedules clean-up events at Bay Area beaches. This is an ongoing effort but needs serious attention this week.

Honolulu Surf Film Festival – Runs through the entire month of July. Go here for more details.

Native – a surf film featuring Jay Davies and Western Australia will be available for download for free on Monday, July 10 2017 by RVCA.
