“The Smog Of The Sea” A New Film Sets Sail For A Cause

The Smog Of The Sea, directed by Ian Cheney, is an important new film focusing on the spread of plastic in the ocean. In it, professional surfers Keith and Dan Malloy join Jack Johnson, Mark Cunningham, Kimi Werner, and marine scientist Marcus Eriksen on a sailing mission to study and document the elusive garbage patches in the Sargasso Sea. Instead of finding mountains of in-tact discarded consumer items floating around en mass they encounter a smog of microplastics infecting the aquatic food chain.
