The cigarette board, a surfboard design made with a core of discarded cigarette butts for the purpose of raising awareness about waste entering the ocean, has been around for a while now. With a movie in the making and ongoing fundraising campaigns to support the cause, the project is picking up steam as it goes. The clip below highlights a session with pro surfer Noah Wegrich as he puts the design to good use at a local sandbar.
