Twelve Pianos is a film directed by Dean Mermell featuring musician Mauro ffortissimo and a series of piano installations along the edge of the Northern California coast. In part the film questions what we’re doing with outmoded possessions, instruments, and technologies while offering one inspirational answer. Here’s the trailer:
The film is being premiered as part of the San Francisco Green Film Festival, which runs from April 20 to 26th. Twelve Pianos is slotted to play at the Castro Theatre Wed, Apr 26 8:30 PM, with an opening piano performance by Mauro ffortissimo at 7:30. Tickets to the show can be purchased at this link.
