Benefit Art Show In SF For Nor Cal Fire Victims

The Great Highway Gallery is putting on a benefit art show tonight, November 10, 2017, dedicated to helping victims of the Northern California Fires. The show will include photographs of the fires by Joe Aguirre and Jake Ricker. There will be a raffle at the event with prizes that include art and gift certificates to local businesses. The show runs from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at 3649 Lawton St, San Francisco, CA.

Also currently being exhibited at the gallery is an installation titled Becoming The Beach by Dyanna Dimick. A former student at UC Santa Cruz, Dyanna Dimick “lets material and her eco-friendly lifestyle drive her creative process.” She uses found material to produce visual tapestries full of intriguing colors and textures. Check out her website for a more detailed overview of her work.

“The Great Highway is a fine art gallery and working studio featuring contemporary works in all mediums. The gallery was founded by John Lindsey, a San Francisco resident with San Francisco Art Institute roots who carries a deep appreciation for images and ideas that explore where land meets water. The Gallery supports and promotes a diverse group of artists who seek sincere beauty, challenge conventional thinking and amuse us with conceptual ideas in their work.”
