Upcycled Wave Riding Craft Contest – Enter And Win!!

Old skateboards hacked down and repurposed into handplanes, scraps of wood reconfigured into paipos, packaging foam retooled into unique wave catching devices, or any other imagined way to upcycle waste into wave riding craft – that’s the basic idea behind the “Creators & Innovators Upcycle Contest” presented by Vissla and Surfrider Foundation.

Details of the challenge are fairly simple. Contestants are required to document the building process from beginning to end through video or 3-6 photos and post it on Instagram #CreatorsContest. Because it’s an international contest each entry must clearly state their country of residence in the post. All submissions must be entered by September 10, 2017 in order to be eligible.

As it states on the Vissla website, “Judging will be based on innovation, functionality, creativity, design, and aesthetics.” Click this link and watch the video below for more info.
